Mixed Results for Senior Sides as Juniors and Women Kick Off
The Stanley River Wolves have opened the 2026 season with a competitive run across the first three rounds, with both A Grade and Reserve Grade showing strong moments as combinations continue to build.
A Grade began the season with an impressive 28–18 win over Maroochydore, setting the tone early. This was followed by a tight defensive battle in Round 2, going down 4–0 to Coolum Colts, before a narrow contest in Round 3 saw the Wolves edged out 34–32 by Nambour.
Reserve Grade also started strongly with a 24–16 win over Maroochydore in Round 1. They faced a tough outing against Coolum Colts in Round 2, before bouncing back in Round 3 with a convincing 32–10 win over Nambour.
While results have been mixed, both squads have shown resilience and will continue to build as the season progresses.
Attention now turns to an exciting weekend for the club, with both junior and women’s competitions kicking off. It marks a major step as the full Wolfpack takes the field, with players, families and volunteers coming together for the start of their seasons.
The club looks forward to a strong showing across all grades as the 2026 season continues to gather momentum.
